NOSE LIFTER

NOSE LIFTER

I scowl the mirror with frustration. I look so pale and skinny. My life is very boring unlike the other girls out there. I've never been in a bar or never tried hanging out with friends. People say I am a nerd. Yes I am. I prefer reading books rather staying outside the house. My friends told me that I look so mysterious sometimes. Maybe because I have nothing to be proud of. Up until now I haven't recovered from the bullying of my schoolmates. They used to call me nerd or a nose freak. People see me but not the true me. They see me as a nerd hiding her big nose. But I dont care about them. I dont care whatever they call or tell me.

But when I knew Gerald - my only crush. My life has changed. I wanted to look good for him. I wanted him to appreciate me and know me. He is my first and only crush. I feel some butterfies in my tummy whenever I see him. I can't stop my self staring at him. He looks very musculine and handsome. He remains humble eventhough all of the girls in the university likes him. Then I heard that he is courting the cheerleading captain. It feels like the world stopped moving and all I wanna do is to cry. I feel broken for almost 2 months. I keep crying everynight knowing that they are together and not me. After 6 months, I heard that they broke up because the girl cheated. My heart started pumping as if I am running in the field. I know it is my time.

I ask my mom to help me. We went to a beauty store and bought some make ups that could help me look good. And I had a total make over in a famous salon. We shopped for dresses for me. My mom was really happy because I am having a life now. Suddenly the girl sitting beside us in the salon is talking to someone on the phone about a product. She said it is called NOSE LIFTER and it is a non surgical nose job. I am listening to her very carefully. She said it would only cost less than 30 dollars and within 30 seconds your nose problem will be gone. I am memorizing the website that is selling this product while she's telling this to her friend.

Good thing the salon has wifi, I checked the product and I was curious to try it too. I asked my mom to use a box for me. And she did. We received the package after 3 days. Mom is more excited than me. She wants to see the total changes in me. As soon as I put on the tool inside my nose. Mom is staring at me speechless. Then she hugged me and said that I look great. Then I look at myself in the mirror. It was a totally shocked to see how I look now, the make over, the dress, and my nose. Everything looks perfect. I have never seen myself in the mirror like this. It is really a new me. My nose looks thinner and pointed. And the bridge in my nose is very cute and its defining my nose. It really looks great.

I awe all of this to NOSE LIFTER and http://www.noselifter.com/. Take note, I only bought one but I received two because they have a BUY ONE TAKE ONE sale today.

YSL A/W Range Face of the Day!

YSL A/W Range Face of the Day!

There’s something about YSL that makes me go weak at the knees; perhaps it’s the luxurious gold packaging, or gorgeous colours that makes me feel like a princess whilst applying it all.  Anyway, I decided to do a YSL ‘Face of the Day’, using only their products.  Here is what I came up with!

YSL LOOK

Firstly, I applied the new Youth Liberator Serum Foundation (in the shade B10, the palest available) with my fingers all over my face for a natural & dewy, yet flawless base.  I decided on a natural eye without my beloved liquid liner (shock shock, horror horror) and instead opted for a subtle smokey look.  I used a selection of the shades in the Palette City Drive ‘Classy’ Palette (from the A/W 2013 Collection) which consists of 4 shimmering shadows; three neutral browns & a grey.  I used the browns on my eye lid and smudged the grey shadow below my lower lash line, before coating on the BabyDoll mascara onto my lashes.
For the lips, I used a combination of my current favourite lipstick, Rouge Pur Couture in the shade #51 Corail Urbain, which is the most stunning peach coral also from the A/W 2013 collection.  I paired it with a slick of one of the new Rebel Nude Glossy Stains in the shade #105; you know I can’t resist a good peach lippie!  Cheeks were left bare as I’m yet to purchase a YSL blusher (I’m on the case) but this adds to the natural/subtle look.
I hope you liked this post!  I’m planning to do a lot more ‘one brand looks’ in the future, so if you have any you would like to see first then do let me know!  The YSL A/W range is out now in stores, as is their new Rebel Nude Glossy Stains & Youth Liberator Serum Foundation.
Do you like YSL products? What brand face of the day should I do next?

Toni&Guy HairMeetWardrobe Lulu Kennedy Exclusives!

Toni&Guy HairMeetWardrobe Lulu Kennedy Exclusives!

I’ve been using the Toni & Guy HairMeetWardrobe styling products for about a year now (the Glamour hairspray and Casual Sea Salt spray being among my favourites for creating gorgeous and easy hair looks).  This month, Lulu Kennedy (big fashionista) has created an exclusive design for four of the Toni&Guy products, to run alongside the latest key fashion trends.
I’ve been trialling these products for the past week, so read on to hear my thoughts!

L-R TONI&GUY Glamour Volume Plumping Whip, Casual Sea Salt Spray, Classic Shine & Gloss Serum & Creative Stick it up gum !

My two favourites of the bunch are definitely the Classic Shine & Gloss Serum, which I have been using to smooth through the ends of my hair after washing, which helps to smooth my locks and make it more manageable, as well as the Casual Sea Salt Spray, which I use for an effortless beach babe look.  When my hair is damp I spritz this in, scrunch it up and leave to dry naturally.  I then spritz some more on when fully dry and scrunch more; voila!

The Glamour Volume Plumping Whip had me the most intrigued.  On the box it says to apply and massage this into the roots of your hair after washing, and then to use a big barrel brush and hairdryer to style your hair into a gorgeous, voluminous bounce.  I’ve found this works really well with curlers too.  The Creative Stick It Up Gum is more suited towards girls with shorter hair (like the pixie cut which is super on trend) but I’ve found just rubbing a little between my palms and ruffling up my roots gives some texture and volume (just be sure not to go overboard or your hair will look greasy).

One of my favourite things about the HairMeetWardrobe range is it’s affordability (these products all around £7 for a good size) and the fact that they are really easy to get your hands on, in local Boots stores (one of my pet hates being uneasily accessible).
Dress from the head down with TONI&GUY HairMeetWardrobe. Create your look with the exclusive TONI&GUY Limited Edition products designed by Lulu Kennedy.

Clarins Everlasting Foundation

Clarins Everlasting Foundation Before & After!

Another foundation review for you today – I’m rolling them out at the moment!  I’ve wanted to try this foundation for quite a long time, after I saw just how pale their shade range went.  As you know I find it extremely difficult to find foundations that are pale enough for my skin, but I knew the moment I saw this that’d it’d be perfect!

CLARINS FOUNDATION REVIEW

Wearing the foundation!

Colour: I have both the shades 103Ivory & 104 Nude in my possession, but 103 is my go-to (and the one I am wearing in the photographs above).  It is super pale but still manages to make my skin look glowing and vibrant (and matches my neck perfectly).  The photographs above don’t really do it justice; in real life this looks beautiful on my skin.

Formula/Texture: This has such a gorgeous silky feel, it glides on the skin and as it is so light, it blends flawlessly with a buffing brush.  I find it quite pigmented but it blends out evenly leaving you with a natural coverage, whilst still managing to cover any imperfections and blemishes.  This has quite a distinct smell to it which fades quickly after applying and doesn’t bother me at all.  This is also ‘oil-free’, perfect for those combination skinned-gals.

Price: This retails at £26 per bottle.  Quite a big price tag but I would definitely re-purchase!

SPF: Contains an SPF 15 – perfect!

What I Think: This is the foundation I reach for when I want a natural yet flawless looking base.  I find it hassle-free, easy to apply and perfect for that dewy glow look.  As for it’s ‘Everlasting’ title, I find that it isn't neccersaily 'ever-lasting', but I do feel like it wears really well and almost looks better the longer I've had it on.  I normally apply this around 7am in the morning, and by 10am my skin has the most beautiful, dewy glow which lasts up until around 3pm (when I need to cover up imperfections and blot).  All in all, it's a thumbs up from me!

Have you tried this foundation? What are your thoughts?

Real Techniques Duo-Fibre Brush Review!

Real Techniques Duo-Fibre Brush Review!

I’m already a massive fan of the Real Techniques Brush Range so when I heard they were launching a Limited Edition set I was very excited.  I’ve already featured them in my August favourites, but read on to hear more about what I think about the Duo-Fibre range!

real techniques duo fibre

The bristles on this brushes are very sparse and not dense at all, meaning the colour pick-up is very sheer and light.  When I first used these I was a little disappointed that it didn’t coat eye shadow and powder on as thickly as it should, but then I realised I had been using them entirely the wrong way.
These products work best (in my opinion) for creating a completely flawless, natural face.  I now use the duo-fibre Face Brush religiously for applying blusher or bronzer and it does THE most incredible job (more so than any other blusher brush I have used).  I often have the problem of applying a little too much blusher and it completely ruins the look.  With the Face Brush however, as it picks up the most tiny (yet even) bit of product and I am able to build up my blusher to create the most incredible glow – I literally look glowing when using these brushes.  This goes for highlighter as well (the smaller Eye Brush being perfect for adding a flush of shimmer on cheek & brow bones).
The Eye Brush is also great for blending out eye shadow (rather than applying it) and the Contour Brush works well contouring (obviously)!  Duo-Fibre brushes in general are great for both powder, cream an liquid products so they are great for experimenting with to work out what works best for you.
These will not be everyone’s cup of tea but I for one am a massive fan.  This limited edition range retails for £23.99 in all Boots stores, check them out if you can!  I thank Sam Chapman for releasing these!

No-Heat Curls with Sexy Healthy Hair Soy Tri-Wheat Leave In Conditioner

No-Heat Curls with Sexy Healthy Hair Soy Tri-Wheat Leave In Conditioner

Have you ever woken up, looked in the mirror and exclaimed: "Holy cow, my hair looks gorgeous!" Well, it has happened to me. My hair has been suffering lately, with temperatures reaching as high as 39°, the heat hasn't exactly been beneficial to my locks and it dried out like a sponge. While Orofluido Sahara is an absolute god sent for dry hair, it is a dry oil, and I wanted a leave-in conditioner that makes the hair damp, I'll explain why later. I always turn to Makeup Alley when I'm researching products and Sexy Healthy Hair Soy Tri-Wheat Leave In Conditioner comes very highly recommended by so many reviewers. I've heard promises of less frizz and more hydration - honestly, how can I hair junkie like me resist such praises.

I'll start with the good hair day story, the actual review can wait a bit. I washed my hair with Kérastase shampoo(which is flippin' fabulous, I should repurchase it), conditioned it with Dove Nourishing Oil Care, used Kérastase Nectar Thermique (another hero) and then sprayed a very generous amount of Soy Tri-Wheat Leave In Conditioner. After blow-drying my hair still felt a bit dry and a bit frizzy, so I mixed Orofluido Elixir and some more Soy Tri-Wheat Leave In Conditioner to make it slightly damp again, put my hair in a high bun as I always do after blow-drying and slept with it. Once I took out the pins in the morning, I had the most amazing voluminous messy curls, I was literally gob smacked. They don't usually look as good and I've been using this technique for a long time. I have years of experience with (almost) no-heat curls, which can look great, but they have one massive fault - they last about a half a day. And that's if you use tons of hairspray or mousse. I prefer to use a curling iron as the curls last 2-3 days then, especially if I use all Kérastase products.

I took some pictures, but I had to make them smaller because they where really blurry:

Bourjois Lip Crayon Peach on the Beach

Bourjois Lip Crayon Peach on the Beach

The long awaited Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayons finally reached our shops. I've kept away from the lip chubby sticks/crayons/jumbo pens craze and never found it even remotely interesting, but I caved when I saw Peach on the Beach. Now, granted every (British) blogger and their mother swatched this colour, but what's one more.

This is my first such product if I don't count NYX Jumbo pencil in Deep Red that I've had for ages, and I bought one more since (Catrice if you're wondering). I'll just say it - I don't get what the fuss is about. It's not the easiest application and though I agree it looks practical, it feels odd.
Texture is very creamy and the tip melted in the heat wave we're having. I had to store it in the fridge. It feels sufficiently moisturising on my lips. Pigmentation is nice for such a light colour, a couple of swipes is enough for a semi-transparent application. The finish is quite glossy at first, but becomes creamier in time.

Peach on the Beach is a light peachy pink shade and it looks great swatched on my hand. However, on my lips it looks very pink, basically just a warm pink with a hint of peach. My cousin, who owns the same colour, commented that it looks more orange on her. It does stain my lips into a medium pink shade after an hour and latter applications look much darker compared to the first. I had difficulties taking pictures, not just because my camera can't handle coral or peach, but also because it looks so different after an hour. Staying power nice, but not ground breaking. The stain lasts up to a half a day, but usually less.
